We're taking a much needed vacation to Hawaii next
month and we're trying our best to prepare ourselves
for the our twins firsttravel experience. We're hoping
for the best but know it might be difficult keeping
them occupied in their seats for 5 hours.Any advice on
how you keep your twins busy and happy on trips would
be much appreciated.Thank you!Elizabeth

I started this topic on Mom's outing last Thursday and
I have more questions about it.We have almost seven
months old g/b twins. So far I didn't do any sleeping
training with them. In the evening, they usually fall
asleep between 5pm and 7pm. Then they wake up about
every 3-4 hours during the night. We just feed them in
the crib, sit them for burp and they go on
sleeping.During the day, they take turns. When baby
seems to be tired, I put her/him in the crib and let
sleep as long as wants. In Mom's outing I was
recommended to put them in the crib before they are
very tired. And, more important, to put them both in
the same time int he crib. So, let's say, they get up at
6.30. I spend time with them and about 7.30 they start
to seem be tired. Yawning, rubbing eyes. I put them in
the crib at 7.45am. The girl falls asleep in 5 minutes.
The boy crawls around the crib, then cries and finally
falls asleep after 20-30 minutes. So far everything
looks ok, but the girl only sleeps 30 minutes or so.
That means in the time the boy falls asleep she start
to wake up. The boy usually sleeps at least one hour,
but he can stretch it up to two and half. Now what?
Should I pick her up? Should I keep her in the crib
until he wakes up? Should I wake him?So far it seems
like she always sleeps 30 minutes, but she takes one or
two naps more over the day than he does.Another
question is what to do when we go out for longer time.
Yesterday we went to visit our friends. Babies got one
morning nap, around 1pm we put them in the stroller and
went for walk to our friends. They slept in the
stroller for a while, but were still tired when we
arrived to our friends. We put babies in the quiet
room, but is did seem that they have difficulty to fall
asleep in unknown environment. They didn't fall asleep
at all till we went home 4 hours later. I'm sure they
were tired and they had trouble to fall asleep at home
too. Does it mean that we can't leave our house for
longer than two hours when they are awake? :)
