Cleaning out the closet and have a box of
maternity'esque clothes --- some traditional mat
clothes like jeans and pants; others are giant
t-shirts. I'm 5'3" and starting at around 135; ended
around 175. Also have a few boxes of Earl Grey decaf,
a few bottles of folic acid, and a number of SNS
bottles.Live in the Castro. Free -- if you take the
clothes would love to see you make a $25 (or greater)
donation to the children's charity of your
choice.Thanks!Athena

Hey Chica - I feel your pain. My oldest was 2 3/4 when
the twins were born. Personally, I'd have less night
nanny time time and more mommy's helper during the day.
If you're breastfeeding or pumping, you'll be up every
2 - 3 hours either way, so it's nice to get a nap in
during the day. The babies tend to go back to sleep
pretty quickly at night but are a handful during the
day (at least that was my experience). I didn't have
one a night nanny at all but I did have family in town
for about a month - I'd beg any dear friend or family
member to come visit if you can. You can get away with
$15 - 20 / hour during the day for mommy's helper who
can do the same things as a night nurse for 1/2 the
price. One of the best decisions I made was to put my
oldest in school as soon as she turned 2 as being home
alone with 3 kids under 3 is chaos. Some preschools
start at 2 and have year-round admission (we started
Montessori House of Children at 2). I think LadyBug
starts at 2 as well. And there are several others.
Pick-up and drop off are kind of nutty (esp. at our
school which has stairs), but it's worth it to be able
to "focus" on babies.

We paid $32/hour & our doula did everything mentioned
above- feeding the twins (I opted not to help her feed
but to pump instead & get as much sleep as possible),
laundry, bottles, etc. She was great! If it helps
financially, you could spread out the nights she
assists you- ie: 4 nights a week, working every other
night so that you don't have to do 2 nights in a row by
yourselves. Good luck!
