1. Live-out Nanny for Twins - Cost?

jodylauter - 1/8/2014 5:13 pm
I'm looking to hire a live-out nanny for my 3 month old
twin girls. I need someone during the week Monday
through Friday from 8am-6pm when I return to work. I'm
wondering what the going rate is for this sort of help.
Also, do I need to provide benefits? I'd appreciate any
insight from folks who have hired a nanny. Thanks!

Hi, I'm a licensed psychologist and I work at Alliant
International University in SF. We're currently
starting a psychological assessment clinic and we can
offer this service for free. Graduate level students
with prior experience and training in assessment will
be working at the clinic. All students will be
supervised by licensed psychologists. If there are any
SFPOM members who are interested in hearing more about
this free clinic, please email me. In particular, we're
looking for children of any age, who may benefit from
intelligence testing, academic testing, testing for
ADHD and/or learning disabilities, and testing for any
psychological problems. However, we're also interested
in testing adults so please email me if you have any
questions:jdaly1@alliant.eduThanks,Jill Daly Ph.D.PSY

Our twins are now ten weeks old and we have used a
tapered schedule that has gone well (so far, famous
last words! ;)First two weeks: seven nights a weekNext
four weeks: five nights a week, Monday - FridayNext
four weeks: three nights a week, Tuesday, Thursday and
SundayIt has worked out great, lots of help with the
heavy lifting in the beginning, then ongoing support as
you acclimate to this (insane) new reality. My husband
and I agree this has required a staggering amount of
money, but it is worth EVERY penny.Good luck!
