1. Pumping while travelling
--------------------------------------------------------
gailteekay - 2/3/2014 4:09 pm
I am leaving for a trip to New Orleans for 4 days. Any
tips on milk storage during my trip? Should I just
store all in the milk bags? Is it safe to combine fresh
milk with milk that has been in my cooler? Anything I
should worry about while at the airport? I'm getting
anxious about when/where I will be able to pump at the
airport as well. Thanks!

2. Our *Amazing* Night Nanny is Available in March

We are having such a positive experience with our night
nanny, Elizabeth, that I wanted to spread the word in
case any of you are looking for some help come March
when she finishes working with us (she's been such an
incredible asset that we decided to keep her on until
our preemie twins, now four months, can be sleep
trained -- and her rates are far more affordable than
other night nannies I've seen in posts, which let us
keep her for an extended period).Elizabeth started
working with us the week our twins came from the NICU
(they were three weeks old at the time and were born
six weeks early). She immediately inspired confidence,
made a very difficult time feel totally manageable (and
even enjoyable), and is now someone my husband and I
look to for advice about how to care for and raise our
babies. I'm happy to give you more information about
our experience with her if you're looking for a
five-star night nanny. Her contact info is

3. Getting Induced @ 37 weeks
--------------------------------------------------------
kristincrawf - 2/3/2014 10:03 am
I have twin girls and am getting induced this Wednesday
at UCSF. My doctor didn't explain exactly how the
induction would work but I'm assuming pitocin will be
administered at some point. Does anyone have any
experience with induction? Any advice? Also, curious
how long it typically takes from time of induction to
delivery. I know it varies significantly, but any
insight would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have any experience, but I would probably want
my doctor to talk to me in very detail. Do you want to
be induced? Do you have to be induced?Do you want to
try some natural ways to induce labor (acupressure,
massage, acupuncture, nipple stimulation, sex, eat
spicy food, walking)? Beside pitocin there is also
misoprostol used. I don't know the difference. You can
also ask for Foley balloon. It's not hormonal, it
physically helps to dilute cervix and can trigger the
labor.I'm sorry I don't really have any first hand
advice for you. I would do a lot of research and ask a
lot of question. I hope your doctor is nice and
understanding.

5. Shipping frozen breast milk

brboatner - 2/3/2014 10:03 am
I am shipping frozen breast milk cross country. I know
UPS will ship overnight but it needs to be with dry
ice. Has any one done this? I am having trouble
purchasing dry ice. Any recommendations on where to
purchase from would be greatly appreciated.
