1. Wet Nurse - I can offer to help
--------------------------------------------------------
lwallace2011 - 3/25/2014 10:41 am
I wanted to see if anybody has been looking for a wet
nurse or a temporary breastfeeding option for their
little one. I'm still nursing my little one (13 months)
and have plenty of milk, so I wanted to see if anybody
needs help (either because they don't have enough milk,
or because you're on some medication, or because you
have to travel, or any other reason). I would love to
help, but can't donate milk, because a pump isn't very
efficient for me at all. I'm also happy to help as your
baby(ies) are learning to latch - I'm no lactation
consultant, but I think that with freely flowing milk,
a baby who might have a tough time if your milk hasn't
come in yet, might get a hang of it with flowing
milk. This might be a very odd post and offer, but since
wet nurses used to be quite normal, I thought I'd put
it out there (while I still can). I had huge problems
BF-ing my twins after a C-sec 3 years ago, and never
produced more than an ounce in 3-6 hours. One of my
boys never learned to latch, and the other kinda did,
but it never worked well. Now, with my 3rd, things are
completely different, and everything is working well.
So I thought I'd offer...I think I'll BF another few
months, so this offer stands for a few months. I don't
smoke (never have), no drugs, and I will skip the
occasional glass of wine if somebody does take me up on
this :-)

3. Need Fundraising Site for Injured Friend
--------------------------------------------------------

Hi. Does anyone have experience using a Fundraising
site to help a friend orrelative with a disease or
severe injury? I know this is done so that familyand
friends can easily contribute to help pay for high
medical bills, etc.I¹m sure there are sites that are
trustworthy and don¹t take much or anypercentage of the
contributions. My dearest friend fell 8 ft while hiking,
and broke both of her feet. Onefoot is shattered. She
is a 59 year old single mom, with no financial helpfrom
the outside. Her 16 year old daughter is my God
daughter. My friendcannot work now, and this recovery
will be very long, with many surgeries. She lives in
Arizona, without close friends or family in the area.I
set up Lotsa Helping Hands for a friend who had breast
cancer, setting upmeals and rides, but I did not have
to use the ³Donate² part. This is theonly site I have
experience with. Please let me know if you have any
experience with any sites for raisingfunds in such
cases. I want to get this set up quickly, do it once,
and doit right the first time.If anyone has any other
advise regarding this situation, I¹m interested. Iwant
to do all I can. We¹ve been friends for 30
years...Carole
