Hi,We did a multi-city, multi-airport trip to the east
coast (Newark, JFK, Portland Maine, and Boston) when
ours were 6 months old, and they were great on all legs
of the trip. Here's what we did that seemed to work
well:Definitely buy 3 seats. That way, you have one
seat with the car seat bucket that you can use to
alternate babies, but most importantly you then "own"
an entire row, and you don't have to worry about
imposing yourself on strangers. Stroller: we too had a
city select, but we left it home for this trip and used
the snap n' go double. We had taken the city select to
Seattle previously, but it gets cumbersome and heavy to
break down, remove brackets and seat stems and bag
while you are on the jetway. The Snap-n-go was so
cheap, we didn't worry about a bag, so the process was
much easier to just collapse with one hand and secure
the straps to leave on the jetway. Also, the city
select is technically over the 25lb weight limit United
imposes for gate-checked strollers, but they seemed
pretty lax about it. Lastly, the double snap-n-go has
a pretty generous cargo area, so it basically doubles
as a luggage cart. You can always check the city
select for free at the front counter, if you want to
use it during your trip. Bring them both in car seats
to the gate, bag one seat and leave it on the jetway
with the snap-n-go, then take the other on board.
Feeding:I love love LOVE the Comotomo bottles. Many POM
parents have discovered them too. Order on Amazon or at
Target.com or BabiesRUs.com. 3 pieces, soft silicone
tops and bottoms (that are easy to pack because they
kind of collapse a bit), and the wide necks make it
easy to clean with a cloth or sponge without any
brushes or pipe cleaners. We found that the TSA even
let us bring bottled water through security, as long as
it's packed with the bottles and formula. Keep the
powder and the water in a separate bag with the bottles
and just hand it to the agent before you go thru. They
will do a swipe test or a vapor test (waving a special
paper over the open bottle) and then send you on your
way. Alternatively, you can wait to buy your water
past security (they usually have a case of
unrefrigerated bottles on hand).Naps:Bring a swaddling
blanket or other lightweight blanket for each and drape
them over their heads. For the baby in the lap carrier,
also bring a soft burp cloth or lovey for them to bury
their face in. The airlines will not let you wear the
baby during takeoff and landing, so plan nap time
around that. Also, be sure to leave enough formula for
them to drink during takeoff and landing to counteract
the pressure. In all, we found people to extremely nice
and patient (especially at JFK where the TSA agents
were all stopping to goo and ga at the babies). Just
give yourself LOTS of time, and roll with it. I think
our babies were happy and relaxed because we made a
huge effort to be happy and relaxed. Good luck!

I recommend St. Lukes Pediatric clinic at St. Lukes.
Both Dr. Treece and Dr. Do are amazing. Dr. Treece is
our primary and very very very responsive, even to
emails. He even followed up on an 11:00pm email
conversation on a day off.
