1. Choosing twin strollers
--------------------------------------------------------
Nataliia - 5/12/2014 6:32 pm
Hello everyone!I am expecting twins and somewhat new to
the area, and would enormously appreciate any help or
advice about choosing strollers. I've found that most
stores do not have double strollers available (only to
be purchased online or shipped to the store), but I'm
afraid of buying it without having tried first.I'm
looking for a preferably side-by-side stroller that is
compatible with two car seats. Will gladly consider
buying a used one as well (have I missed the
consignment sale?)Thanks in advance,Nataliia

HAH! I could be writing this myself! I do not think it
is a phase... If the wake up time is important, you
might plan for bedtime 9.5 to 10 hours before the
wakeup time.At exactly 20 months gestational, the twins
began:1. wrestling and playing before bedtime instead
of being all cuddly for storytime2. Talking and/or
crying from 7 PM (bedtime) until around 7:40 PM3.
Waking up in the middle of the night at times for 2
hours. One twin talked, while the other fidgeted,
whined or hit her head on the crib slats. Of course
they were not doing this in the same 2 hour periodOff I
went to Ferber's book. Our expectations were off the
mark according to Ferber. We left our kids in bed from
7 AM to 7 PM, and they took 2+ hours naps sometimes.
According to Ferber at this age the total time for
sleep, typically, is around 11.5 hours, split between
9.5 hrs in bed and 2 hrs in a single nap.We moved
bedtime to 7:30, and although we try to only go in at
7AM, they now wake up punctually around 6:15. We hear
much much much less shenanigans in the middle of the
night and the sleep time routine, now moved 30 minutes
later, has normalized (no longer a fight) after 5
days.
