Hi Sara, I've had a good experience with Pleasant
Limo. When I used them last year, I found their rates
reasonable and the customer service to be great. I did
travel with our car seats and the driver installed them
for me, which I thought was great.
http://pleasantlimo.com/Also, I have a friend that
works for Uber, who says that I should start using them
instead. That would be another way to go.Best,Carolina

I have not used a car service myself, but I've seen
recommendations (from people traveling with kids) for
the following:Aegis LimoChristian at CDC LimoMatt at
GoSFJuan Ordonez - 415-305-0819All of these services
will provide car seats - just specify what you need
when you make the reservation. Have a great trip!

Hand-foot-mouth is just another virus, nothing to be
really worried about, but just as contagious as other
viruses. Kids have a fever and a rash, typically on
hands, feet, and inside the mouth, like little bumps or
blisters, but sometimes only one or two of those
places. They're miserable for a few days, but it goes
away by itself, and there is no specific treatment,
only tylenol for the fever and doscomfort. Mine haven't
had this (yet), but I've seen other kids with it many
times. They probably just mentioned it to you because
it's going around, and they didn't want you to get
really worried if your babies got a rash later.

Yes, it's very common. The name is a little
disconcerting because it sounds like hoof & mouth
disease, which cows get. =) But it's just a virus, like
the PP said. My kids had it around 1.5 yo, I think (it
was a while ago). Some kids get a bad case, some kids
get a mild case. If there are sores in/around the
mouth, the kids probably won't eat much for a few days,
and you might want to offer a lot of cold, smooth, low
acid foods (yogurt, ice cream, etc.). Kids can also get
the little bumps/rash on their bottoms. Some adults get
it from their kids, but most adults don't. (We didn't.)
I think it pretty much goes around every summer - it's
something a lot of kids get at some point. (And usually
once they get it they don't get it again, although I
think technically they CAN get it again - maybe there
are slightly different strains of it? I'm not 100% sure
about that.)
