I have a 6 year old that really wants to take piano
lessons. We live in the inner Richmond district. We
actually have a piano in the house so I would love to
find someone that will come to our house. Please let me
know if you have any ideas! Thank you.

Oh and Mrs. Perkins is also a performing pianist still
which I hear is very important when finding a
teacher. She teaches kids at our school, and at her
home, and in your home depending on your situation. She
has a beautiful grand piano at her home.SusanOn

I am feeling a bit down. I have twin boys that are 2
yrs. old. They had really cute Halloween costumes, but
for the life of me, I just couldn't get any decent
picture of the two of them in their costumes or of them
trick or treating. My boys are so active; they won't
sit still let alone sit together. Not to mention that
trick or treating was a bit chaotic trying to navigate
the busy sidewalks, getting them up to the door, etc.
Hard to pull out the camera while wrangling with two
toddlers. It was a fun evening and we had a great time,
but when I looked at the photos I did take they were a)
terrible b) very few and c) didn't capture their cute
costumes.I am trying to tell myself that there will be
many more Halloweens and I will get tons of pictures
when they are older and bit more camera ready ;) It
just makes me a bit sad as I want to capture these
early years and it just doesn't work out too well. Am I
the only one? Is is just the reality of having twins?
Oh and top it off, I completely blew a visit to the
pumpkin patch this year. It wasn't on my radar and when
I finally thought of it, we couldn't fit it in with
what we had going on on the weekends (I am a FTWM) and
then when we did try and go, they had all been
dismantled. So, feeling guilty about that.

You are soooo not alone! And I don't think it applies
to multiples only. Much of what you have written can
apply to various years for me and my boys - the twins,
but also their big brother. You could dress your twins
up again and try for another picture, but honestly, the
Facebook, Instagram. Etc., age that we live in has put
such pressure on people to "capture" every moment.
Almost as though we have to prove it happened. I have
started to feel that it is the contemporary equivalent
of hoarding. We just cannot keep every moment, and
there are already so many things for parents to feel
guilty about. You said that and children had fun?
That's all that really matters. They are going to grow
up too fast no matter how many pictures we take.As for
seasonal activities, that is one thing I have
conquered! I have a little accordion file with a pocket
for every month. Whenever we do anything -or miss
anything- I write it on a little slip of paper in the
pocket TWO MONTHS beforehand. That way I can be on top
of planning. It has worked for me.
