I have an elder singleton and infant twins, so I am not
the one you are putting this call for info out to, but
my boss has twins and a younger (all boys, twins are
now nearly 10 and younger just turned 7). I think they
had always wanted 3, so that is why they had the 3rd.
The boys all play together and look so similar, people
often think they are triplets. She thinks her twins
benefit from being big brothers, and all of the
modeling etc. that that entails. And, fwiw, from the
singleton and then twins perspective, I will say that I
have found that the experience of the babyhood/infancy
phase with twins is very different from the singleton.
I feel like I had a lot more time to just hang with my
baby with my first. This was obviously also because I
didn't have any other kids at the time, but I feel like
when you are juggling 2 infants, at least I often don't
get as much time just to gaze at them/enjoy them as I
would like.
