I used the Doula Collective so that I had a team of two
guaranteed. Would highly recommend them. We delivered
at UCSF after three days of induction that resulted in
a C-section. They were worth every cent for the
grounded advice and support supplied over that time.
Since they work as a team, the two rotated their time
with us so we were never left without someone. I know
they have experience with other twin
pregnancies/births. Best of luck!

my 'doula' was a 25 yrs/1000 babies home birth midwife.
she agreed to take me on as a client in the role of
'labor management consultant'. in addition to her
guidance during birth, her prenatal care (on top of my
ucsf hospital ob care) was extraordinary. i cannot
recommend maria highly enough. she's a treasure. if
you're interested - set up a consult with her via her
website appointment scheduler:

now but will be back in a few weeks.

with you or answer any questions. best, jen

Sounds like a developmental leap!
http://www.thewonderweeks.com/mental-leap-3/I found The
Wonder Weeks super helpful for my own sanity as a good
explanation of why my normally laid back babies
suddenly became terrors for a period of time and then
magically became amazing babies that could do so much
more than before. I found it to be one of the most
reassuring things as a first time mom. The app isn't as
good as the book.

Congrats on the upcoming twins! I have successfully
tandem worn my twins since soon after they were born
until currently at almost 16 months. At first I used
the Moby, but graduated to soft structured carriers and
mei tais once they could sit. It is unsafe to use a
soft structured carrier for a back carry until an
infant can sit on their own. A great resource is
Babywearing International of the Bay Area. They have a
facebook group and meet once a month for a meeting in
San Francisco. The new meeting location is actually at
Natural Resources in the Mission. I became a member and
was able to borrow a carrier for free every month while
I tried out different combinations to see what worked
best for us. It was super useful as my needs changed as
the babies grew and one of their leaders has a lot of
tandem wearing experience. You can attend meetings
while pregnant to get an idea of what some good options
are and it will be a lot easier to do while they are
still in you! Their next SF meeting is the 28th of
August.http://bwibayarea.wix.com/bwiba/
