Hey I am at UCSF and currently 29 weeks with twin
girls. The treatment so far is absolutely excellent and
I totally love it. They have a line where we can
telephone for any complications/ questions and so on
which works 24/ hours (which believe me I have a lot as
a FTM). My Dr. Thiet
(http://www.ucsfhealth.org/mari-paule.thiet) and I
really like her professionalism and how many details
and explanations she gives me. They do all the
different checks for you and they have teams that are
always supportive and informative!!! Good luck and I
totally recommend the UCSF XXXX

p.s. As previously said, they always recommend vaginal
birth if both babies are in place..My girls are
currently in the wrong position for that, so they told
me they will wait and see if they turn, otherwise, we
will go for a c-section! Maximum they will let me go is
37 weeks as it is not safe for my twins to go more than
that...xxx

i privately hired maria iorillo, midwife, to help me
manage my care. i went to ucsf for all prenatal care.
(i also work there.) however, when it came time to have
the babies (at 38-39 weeks), i also registered at
cpmc's st. luke's campus. they have a very low
intervention rate; and, laura norrell trained at ucsf
and is expert at low-intervention twin births. mine
were vertex/transverse. i loved my birth experience at
cpmc st. luke's campus. was glad to have had the expert
prenatal care at ucsf. and i absolutely cannot speak
highly enough about maria iorillo. in sum, before 36
weeks, i definitely would have gone to ucsf for their
nicu; between 36-38, probably would have gone to ucsf.
after 38 weeks, cpmc st. luke's was wonderful
(assumption was that a nicu was not needed at that
point - as they only have a level 2 nursery - not level
3 like ucsf). personally cpmc california campus was a
middle-ground i wasn't particularly interested in. they
have a higher c-sec rate than their cpmc st. luke's
campus. and if i needed critical care, ucsf is where
i'd want to be for high-risk stuff (unless we'd decided
for some reason to go to stanford). hth. happy to
answer any questions you might have. best, jen

I'd love to volunteer for whenever this does happen.
It's so helpful to have that sale. Posting on Facebook
for more volunteers seems like a good idea. I use that
group more than the big tent one these days.

Just a quick, informal poll... would it be of interest to
you to either advertise...

I too would be interested in listing member owned
businesses. I'm a speech language pathologist with a
practice in Marin (SPEECH,Marin) and would be happy to
be a resource for our families!Denise Santos Ford, M.S.
