Just a quick reminder about tonight's Expert Speaker
Session with multiples expert Dr. Joan Friedman...
She's a twin herself, a mom of twins, and an
experienced psychotherapist, who'll be speaking about
raising emotionally healthy multiples.Tonight, Friday,
Aug. 28th - 6:30-8:30 p.m.Sports Basement (Potrero) -
16th & Bryant. (There's usually plenty of street
parking around there, but they have a garage, and so
does the Safeway/Potrero Center shopping complex across
the street.FREE for current POM members; $20/family for
non-members (so if a friend and his/her nanny want to
attend, they'd count as one family.)Food/beverages will
be available! Please rsvp on BigTent if you can, but
know that you are still welcome to attend if you won't
know until the last minute. THANKS! Hope to see you
all there!! : )

I delivered at 31 weeks with a 5 year old at home.
Agree with above. Mine stayed in 6 and 12 weeks, and
because it was flu/RSV season, no siblings could come
back into the NICU, including the first twin. My in
laws stayed for a month in a furnished rental and
watched the baby at home while I visited the baby at
the NICU. My son was in preschool. It was tough, but on
the bright side, I got to spend time with my older son
in a non-pregnant state while not working. This was a
little gift to him and having them home in stages
helped him ease into the notion of twin sisters
gradually over time. I made sure to spend "dates" with
him since I knew this wasn't happening easily for a
while. Definitely find out the seasonal visiting
policies for your delivery time, and feel free to reach
out to me for questions.

We go to Noe Valley Pediatrics, but everyone I know who
has used UCSF pediatricians has been happy with them.
