<p>Please be advised that <strong>all SFUSD schools will be in session tomorrow (Thursday, January 5, 2023)</strong>. </p>

<p>Schools provide essential services, such as instruction, nutritious meals, and the care of a trusted adult for our students. Unless there are conditions that would compromise student safety or pose a hazard in our schools in the morning, we intend on fulfilling our responsibility to the students and families in our community, especially those who are furthest from access.</p>

<p>During periods of inclement weather, our first priority is the safety and welfare of our students and staff. We appreciate our school leaders and staff who ensured that students were safe today at school while engaging in their education. </p>

<p>Based on the current forecast, storm conditions are expected to improve by the morning. SFUSD will be assessing the impact of the storm on school transportation and facilities in the morning. Additionally, we are coordinating with the City and County of San Francisco, which includes being in close contact with the Department of Emergency Management. </p>
