They will be asked to change or cover up for the day if this expectation is not met.</span></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><br/></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><strong>Weapons</strong>: Students may NOT bring play guns, knives, bb guns, tasers, pepper spray, mace, pocket knives or any other replica or real item that can be considered as or used as a weapon. Students caught on campus with a weapon will be suspended.</p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><br/></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><strong>Attendance</strong>: All students are expected to be in their classroom at the bell. If a student arrives late, they must obtain a tardy pass at the Main Office and place their phones in their Yondr pouch. No exceptions. Students may not be released to a family members without a note. Students must submit a note when absent. After 3 absences, a doctor’s note is necessary to excuse students. We will begin Tier III attendance follow up in October/November.</p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><strong><br/></strong></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><strong>Conflict Management</strong>: If a student has a conflict with a peer or adult, they may first attempt to come to a resolution. It is recommended that the student inform an adult as soon as possible to allow for a facilitated conversation, investigation, or other possible necessary steps.<br/></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><br/></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;">When there is student conflict or negative student behavior, there is an expectation to attempt to resolve or respond to the situation in a restorative manner. This may look like a Restorative Conversation, Family Meeting, Detention with Learning Modules, and/or Community Service. In most circumstances that are allowable by Ed Code, suspension is the absolute last result.</p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;"><br/></p><p style="margin:0;font:15px/1.5 sans-serif;color:#111;">Our adolescent students are developing and learning themselves while also learning to navigate friendships and relationships.
