We started the semester by studying medical epidemics with Patient Zero focusing on how different individuals used their voice to address challenging situations (work not posted). We then moved on to social epidemics, exploring trends where individuals, their ideas, or products have a positive or negative effect on today's society. We ended the semester by creating podcasts or videos, using student voice to amplify issues of individual importance in a Genius Hour format.

Thank you to Ms. Emily, Ms. Valeria, Mr. Toby, Ms. Wagoner, and all the other members of the Hoover community who supported the success of the students this semester. Thank you to Ms. Luna for creating the productive classroom environment that was able to be maintained in her absence. I am tremendously proud of the work the students have created in the past few months. When the world says, today's teens are not curious people, they obviously haven't met this group of students.
