We recognize the national election results have led to many emotions among our students, families, and staff. Understanding the impact that this may have on our school communities, the San Francisco Unified School District reiterates our commitment to protecting the rights of our students, families, and staff, and especially those most affected by any upcoming changes in the federal administration. </p>
<p dir="ltr">SFUSD stands by the belief that every child deserves an education, and every family deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. Students are entitled to have access to the restroom, locker room, and other facilities consistent with their gender identity. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Discrimination of any kind has no place in our community, and the district has explicit policies that prohibit those acts against our students. SFUSD will continue to honor policies that promote learning environments where every student feels valued, heard, and safe. </p>
