                                                <p>Good Morning Students,</p><p>Yesterday (2nd and 3rd Periods) and today (5th period) we are beginning to prepare for a Discussion Assessment that will take place on Friday, 2/28. It will be similar to the one from last semester. Half the class will sit in a circle discussing the question(s), while the other half listens and takes notes to provide feedback on one person in the discussion. You have been practicing discussion during your small group work on your chapter, and some while discussing whole class.</p><p>The Discussion is focused on Chapter 4 of Patient Zero. We will complete the note-catcher and read a few pages of Ch. 4 together in class. You may, however, find it useful to read, or listen to, the chapter on your own. The audio is in Google Classroom.</p><p>Attached you will find a pdf copy with the following resources: (I will post this in Google Classroom as well.)</p><ol><li>Assessment Discussion prompt (question)</li><li>Synopsis of the pages we are <u>not</u> reading together</li><li>Collaborative Discussion Checklist - on what and how you are assessed</li></ol><p>Thank you,</p><p>Ms. Luna</p>
