<p>Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians,</p><p>I wanted to let you know that students have started working on their essay. So far we have reviewed the articles needed, and just started work on the outline.</p><p>If you child is in 2nd period ELA, they should be working on the outline at home for homework, up to Point 2 - due Thursday.</p><p>Students in 3rd period did not get far enough to take the outline home, so will work on it in class on Thursday. </p><p>The goal is to be ready to write the essay in class on Friday, but we will see how ready everyone is.</p><p>Just a reminder that Assessments (exams) are 30% of a student's grade.</p><p>Thank you, Ms. Luna</p><p>Attached info on essay along with standards being assessed.</p>
