<p>Dear Parents and Guardians,</p><p>We have a few weeks left of school and students are preparing for final projects and tests. In English Language Arts we are studying the period of the Harlem Renaissance including poetry, music, and dance. There are 2 main assignments coming up:</p><ol><li>Select and create a "museum" exhibit for a person, place, or event related to the Harlem Renaissance. This will include research, determining Theme and writing a critique.<strong> Final product ready to present May 19th.</strong></li><li>Students will "perform" something related to the Harlem Renaissance. They may be memorizing and reciting a poem, singing a song, performing a dance or a part of a play, or creating an original piece of art inspired by an artist of the time. <strong>Performances will take place the week of May 27th.</strong></li></ol><p>As this is the end of the school year, there is no time for late work. Final Grades are due May 30th. I am including the list students should review in order to select their exhibit piece. Those highlighted have already been selected.</p><p>Thank you, Ms. Luna</p><p>Estimados padres y tutores:</p><p>Quedan algunas semanas de clases y los estudiantes se están preparando para sus proyectos y exámenes finales. En Lengua y Literatura Inglesas, estamos estudiando el período del Renacimiento de Harlem, que incluye poesía, música y danza. Tenemos dos tareas principales:</p><p>Seleccionar y crear una exhibición de museo para una persona, lugar o evento relacionado con el Renacimiento de Harlem. Esto incluirá investigar, determinar el tema y escribir una crítica.
