<p dir="ltr">Dear Hoover Middle School Community Members, </p>

<p dir="ltr">As we rapidly approach the end of another full school year, we are writing to share updates with you regarding the Hoover administrative team. With gratitude and sadness, we announce the departure of Assistant Principal Kiani Mitchell. We wish her well in her future endeavors.</p>

<p dir="ltr">We’re also excited to announce Mr. Michael Colvin’s appointment as Interim Assistant Principal. Given that the end of the school year is rapidly approaching, we were not able to establish a site selection committee. </p>

<p dir="ltr">Please note that an interim appointment is on a limited-term basis for the school year.  We will be required to convene a formal interview process during the spring semester 2026. However, if the SSC decides to recommend Mr. Colvin as permanent, we can waive the interview process. </p>

<p dir="ltr">While transitions can bring uncertainty, they are also an opportunity to recommit to shared community values and the work of providing students with a transformative educational experience in the best traditions of Hoover Middle School.</p>
