<div dir="ltr"><div>Hello, </div><div><br></div><div>The IEP is in progress and due to staffing shortages the expected timeline is between 2-3 months from when you signed the assessment plan. I did have Kai on my schedule to be pulled for direct assessments this week on Tuesday/Wednesday but Kai was not in class during the times I called for them. They are currently on my schedule to be pulled for testing on Friday of next week. </div><div><br></div><div>You can send an email out to Kai's teachers asking for accommodations in the meantime while this evaluation is being completed and cc me in the email so that I can confirm with teachers that this is in progress. Additionally you can also request a 504 plan through the school although I am not sure of the timeline on that since I am not directly involved in those. I do however know that after the request it does take a bit of time to schedule a meeting and then get paperwork completed for a 504 determination meeting/plan. </div><div><br></div><div>Best, </div><div>KC</div><div><br></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr">Kathleen Chagoya<div>School Psychologist </div><div>Ruth Asawa School of the Arts<br><div><div>San Francisco Unified School District<br></div><div>(415) 695-5700 </div><div><br></div><div>Pronouns: she/her/hers</div><div><a href="https://www.mypronouns.org/" style="font-family:Helvetica;font-size:12px" target="_blank">https://www.mypronouns.org/</a><br></div><div><br></div><div><div style="color:rgb(255,255,255);font-family:Helvetica;font-size:12px"><div dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><font color="#274e13"><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">The </span><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;font-weight:700;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">Procedural Safeguards</span><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">, your rights as a parent, are available at the link below:</span></font></p><p dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(34,34,34);line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><a href="https://www.sfusd.edu/special-education-parent-rights-and-procedural-safeguards" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank"><span style="font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,151,167);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">https://www.sfusd.edu/special-education-parent-rights-and-procedural-safeguards</span></a></p><p dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(34,34,34);line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,51,0);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap"> </span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><font color="#274e13"><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">The </span><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;font-weight:700;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">Community Advisory Council for Special Educatio</span><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">n info is available at the link below:</span></font></p><p dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(34,34,34);line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;color:rgb(153,51,0);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap"><a href="https://sites.google.com/view/cacspedsf/home" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">https://sites.google.com/view/cacspedsf/home</a></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(34,34,34);line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><br></p><p dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(34,34,34);line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"></p><div style="color:rgb(34,34,34);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"></div><p></p><p dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(34,34,34);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-family:Lato,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap"><font size="1">DISCLAIMER: </font></span><span style="font-size:x-small;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Lato,sans-serif;white-space:pre-wrap">This email message, including any attachments, may contain confidential and privileged information. We haven't heard anything since we signed the IEP paperwork. Could you <br>
please tell me the status? Also, are we able to get 504 accomodations <br>
