Wendy, We went to Kauai and Waikiki over the Christmas
vacation. Just so you don't pick them, I would not
recommend the Waikiki Parc Hotel. It's in a great
location across from "adult time" at the Lewers Lounge,
but the rooms are small & old and they were unable to
provide two cribs upon check-in because they had run
out... not a good scene.Pre-twins we did stay a number
of times at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and it was
great. Large pools and right on the beach. If you can,
you should try and upgrade to the Ali'i
Tower:http://www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/accommodations/ali_tower.cfmwhere
they have their own pool and sunset snacks/drinks on
the veranda. If you're thinking of going to another
island we especially liked the Princeville Westin on
Kauai. My wife wrote the post below on another thread
about our visit there. Best of luck in sleuthing
something
out.Sebastianhttp://www.bigtent.com/group/forum/message/46055340?ff=1We
just returned from a reunion (8 adults, 7 kids) on
Kauai and had an outstanding stay at the Princeville
Westin. The service was excellent and the property is
perfect for families with kids. Each of our families
had its own unit with a kitchen and washer/dryer. Some
were studios and some one bedrooms, where one of each
can essentially be combined into a two-bedroom unit.
Westin provides complimentary baby Heavenly beds in
their cribs, which can be guaranteed at booking. The
grounds were lovely: large lawns for the kids to run
around on, several pools, a kids' water slide, many
barbecues and picnic tables. There are beautiful ocean
views, but no beach access. However, the hotel runs a
shuttle to its sister property, the St. Regis, about a
5 minute drive away, and they have a very nice
beach. The resort is walking distance to the Princeville
Center, a little mall with a grocery store, shops,
restaurants, kids playground and library with
children's books.Hanalei is a super charming town about
10 minutes down the road. If you go, eat at Bar Acuda,
founded by San Francisco chef Jim Moffat of 42 Degrees
and Slow Club fame, who serves some of the best food on
the island. Postcards is also supposed to be good, as
is the hole in the wall Hanalei Pizza and Neide's Salsa
