3. When to start looking for nanny?

 Hello all-- my twins are due in July and I am planning
 to go back to work in December. We have already
 decided that we want to use a nanny because the cost
 will be roughly equivalent to day care and day care
 doesn't come to your house and get your kids dressed
 :-). However, I have heard conflicting advice about
 how early to start looking for a nanny-- two months
 ahead? Three months ahead? Can SFPOM moms advise? 
 Also, on a separate note, my mom would like to come for
 two days a week and spend time with the kids alongside
 the nanny-- she's cared for my nephew two days/week
 since he was born and she wants the same relationship
 with my kids, but she is nervous about the demands of
 two infants at once. Would most nannies be open to
 this arrangement? We are not planning to pay any
 differently for the days that my mom is here.

I think it was too
 much to ask one person to handle everything and it gave
 the kids flexibility in caregiver styles, having 2
 separate people. Feel free to reach out to me with any
 questions-- it was particularly crazy for the first 6
 months but I love having my little tribe--Hilary

 I have a 3.5 year old and 10 month old twins. My
 experience has been that one person cannot take care of
 all three- at least not well. It's ok for an hour or so
 and then it's too much!
