2. Getting rid of facial scars
--------------------------------------------------------
sfmama09 - 8/10/2012 2:53 pm

My twins had chicken pox (immunizations are given at 12
months but we were 5 months late in immunizations due
to frequent sickness and in my opinion to some extent
pediatrician's negligence). In any case, one of my
girls scratched and scratched her face and I couldn't
stop her - she picked her scabs. As a result she has 5
very significant big scars on her face. Her sister
healed up very well with minimal scaring. I am very
upset about the whole ordeal. I know the scars will
fade with time but it will take a long time (many
years) and I suspect there will always be a significant
marks. We do everything at home we can - Maderma,
Vitamin E, and Sunblock for outside. I am also going to
take her to a dermatologist for a consultation but I'm
wondering if I should also consider a plastic surgeon
type of consult?Any experience/advice with getting rid
 of scars is much appreciated.

Hi all,the babies will be here soon (first half of
September) and we still did not found a Pediatrician
yet, I am under panic now. Could you please share some
name or suggestions? we are with Anthem Blue Cross and
we live in Eureka Valley. would be convenient a doctor
that is close by but most important we want one to
trust with the two babies.thank you SOO

We're on 2nd Ave in the Inner Richmond, and we love it.
Sure it's foggy (and windy!!), but like sharono said,
you can get to sunshine very easily. We have a
west-facing bay window, and watching the fog roll in a
night and hearing the foghorn is so beautiful. Not to
mention, the neighborhood is great for walks, doing
errands on foot, getting to know your neighbors, and
it's generally very quiet, plus you are close to GGP
 and Presidio.

Hi Rebecca, does the fog generally clear up by 11 am
and then come back by 5pm?? My husband hung out there
today and reassured me that it does get sunshine. From:

Mary, just to give you an idea. When I left this
morning to take my toddler to preschool (on 28th Ave.)
at 9, the fog was really heavy and thick all over (as I
headed to Colma). By the time I came back from running
errands at 1, it was cloudless and sunny over GG Park,
where the Outlands Festival is playing. I did not
think that area was going to see the sun at all
today!Anyway, if it was like that at 1, over that area
of town, then it was probably already sunny by 11 in
the Inner Richmond. The fog usually burns off by noon,
but depending on the day, it can roll back in before 5.
But there are lots of days where it will still be
bright, i.e. not foggy, at 7 or 8.Masonic isn't that
far east of the Inner Richmond, so figure that you
might get a half hour more "sun" in the morning and
 afternoon.

Thanks for your feedback. Today we had sun from 8:30
am to about 4:00pm then it got overcast but as long as
we get some sun then I'll be happy to move there. We
love the house so wish us luck on our bid!!! From:
