1. Feedback on masgutova method

Do any of you have any experience with Masgutova
Method? We are considering this method to treat minor
sensory integration issues in our 1 year old twins. We
can't decide whether to go with the traditional
approach (waiting list for Child Development Center at
CPMC) which is covered by insurance vs private sessions
using Msgutova Method which would end up being a lot
more costly. Anyone from this group used Masgutova
 Meothod?

My oldest (singleton) did both at the same time and
they complemented each other very well. He's been doing
weekly OT at CPMC since September and was doing 2x a
week of Masgutova Method until last month. We're
currently taking a break from Masgutova to focus on
some other therapies, but plan on picking it up
again. You can save money by getting trained in the
 Masgutova technique yourself. Our practitioner,
Boutania Rosen, teaches intensive training sessions.
 She has an amazing gift!http://www.bodyacumen.comPlease

Hi Sarah,Congratulations! My story is similar to
Jennie's and my mono-di girls are only 4 months old. I
also had a scheduled c-section at 36 weeks and went to
SF Perinatal and saw Dr. Sandburg, who specializes in
twins. He told me the current research shows a higher
rate of stillborns in identicals after 36 weeks, and he
also recommended a scheduled c as did my OB. Both girls
were positioned head down at my last ultrasound and
were doing well, but the recommendation didn't change.
Both girls did not spend any time in the NICU and were
born at 5 lbs 6 oz and 5 lbs 2 oz at CPMC. Initially I
expected to carry them for 38 weeks and attempt a
vaginal birth, so was disappointed about a planned
c-section at a month early, but I wanted to follow the
strong recommendation of the perinatalogist.Good luck
and feel free to contact me with any questions.AnneMom

We have a three year old daughter. We said that if our
second was a girl, we might consider trying for a boy.
Surprise! The second was twins! I just knew that it was
one of each so at 20 weeks when we found out they were
both girls, I was disappointed. Actually I was only
slightly disappointed but my husband was downright
bummed and that made me very angry. Fast forward to
now- our twins are almost 8 months- and my husband and
I are thrilled with our girls. I actually overheard him
telling someone how much he loved fathering little
girls. We feel complete. You will see when they are
here- you would never want to trade them for someone
else. Best of luck to your new family!!
