 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StrollerSWAP/ is a great
place to look for used strollers. The subscribers are
definitely stroller junkies, but there are some good
deals on rare stroller configurations to be had.

8. C5 Children's School enrolling preschool at a new site
location
--------------------------------------------------------
molly397 - 7/18/2012 11:21 am

My daughter's preschool has opened a new location is
enrolling a large number of new families. My 5.5 yo
daughter has been enrolled at C5 children's school for
5 years (it starts at age 3 mos and goes to
kindergarten). It is a full time program, designed for
families that need full time care. My 10 month old
twins are not yet enrolled due to twin-logistics, but
they will probably eventually go there. I know how hard
it can be to find care for 1, let alone 2, kids -- so
if anyone is interested in infant care or preschool
care -- this might be a good option to check out. It
is located in Civic Center. The original location is in
the state building (with a preference to state
employees) and the new, 2nd location is in the City's
PUC building (with a preference to city employees) -
but there are many spaces in both centers in addition
to government employees. It is a high quality licensed
care facility. It is a Reggio Emilio based program.
The teachers are very well trained. The child-teacher
ratio is on par with other preschools I visited, but
many other preschools include aids and not "full"
teachers in the ratio. All of the teachers at C5 are
equally well qualified. The approach to child
development, health, nutrition, safety, and resolving
conflict have been very good. The snack and lunch
program provided by Chefables is delicious and
outstanding. They do Music Together as part of the
school program. My older daughter has thrived there
for half a decade and will be moving on to Kindergarten
in a few weeks.I am happy to answer specific questions
at molly at tirpak.com, 415 225 8259, but please only ask
questions if you are actually pursuing enrollment
directly with the center. It would be best to ask your
basic questions of the center and then I'd be happy to
talk if you are really considering going there. Most
 information can be found here:
http://www.c5children.org/ and you can call the center
directly and ask for Joe Wiseman and he can answer any
other questions. Some of the web site hasn't been
updated about the recent addition of the new center,
but Joe can give you the details. Feel free to tell him
you learned about the center from me.All the best,Molly
Sterkel (Agatha, 5.5 years, Ursula & Matilda, 10
 months)

hours/week who can drive and speaks English fluently.
We live in Bernal area. Any leads out there? Thanks!

10. Car Seat Configuration in a Honda Odyssey
--------------------------------------------------------
sfteach - 7/18/2012 9:41 am

Hi Wise Moms,We are getting a Honda Odyssey today, and
I am hoping you can help me decide how to place the car
seats. We have one convertible carseat for our
daughter (Britax Marathon), and two infant car seats
for our twins (due to arrive in a month). Some
options:-Daughter and one infant in second row w/
daughter behind driver's seat, and infant next to her
in the middle. The other infant seat would be in the
back row closest to curb side door. We would take out
the second row captain's chair behind passenger
side.-Have all three kids in middle row.-Put infant
seats in second row captain's chairs, and daughter in
third row, middle seat.Ideally, I would like my
daughter in the second row, so we can talk and I can
hear her, but not sure if that configuration is best.
What works for you? Thanks for reading!

We have a Nissan van. My son was two years old when my
twin girls wereborn. I didn't feel comfortable sitting
far away from the newborns thefirst few months of their
lives so we configured as follows: 2 year old ina
forward facing Britax behind the driver's seat. One
infant behind thepassenger seat and the other infant in
the back row. That way I could sitin the back row next
to one of my infants and be very close behind theother
infant. At about 5 months we switched - my oldest went
in the middleback row and the twins in the second row.
My son doesn't mind sitting wayin the back because he
is in the middle and can see everything while
bydaughters 19 months now are still rear facing so he
feels he is privilegedto have his seat this way.On Wed,
