1. Loving, Wonderful Night Nanny Available starting JULY

I posted this for our wonderful nanny, Patty Wright,
who is available in July, but we have not received any
responses. I am reposting with the hope that she might
find work with a wonderful family as a night nanny. As
you can see below, any family would be lucky to have
Patty's experience and warm presence as a caregiver to
their babies. Our amazing nanny, Patty, will be
available in July. She has been with us for over three
months and has worked full time during the day caring
for our twin 18 month old twin girls. We have been so
grateful to have Patty -- she has been filling in while
our regular nanny has been on maternity leave. We
couldn't have been happier and more blessed to have her
as part of our family. While Patty has worked as a day
nanny for babies, toddlers and young children, she
comes with over 15 years of experience, a good portion
of which is caring for newborns as a night nanny. She
is currently looking for such a position and is
available to start the 1st of July. Patty is a special
person - warm, loving, and kind. She is conscientious,
a hard worker, and supportive -- always looking to do
more and help in any way possible. She has such a calm
way about her -- even in moments of chaos and crying.
She has a soothing effect on both the babies and the
parents. My girls look forward to seeing Patty's
smiling face every morning. Patty comes to the table
with experience and knowledge, warmth and joy for
children -- a perfect combination in my opinion. Any
family would be incredibly fortunate to have her. She
is a gem.Patty lives in Oakland and has a car so she is
able to work anywhere in the Bay Area. I am providing
both Patty's contact information as well as my own.
Feel free to contact either or both of us. Patty can
 provide additional references.Patty Wright

We are currently in the middle of our 2 week trip to
Europe with our 9 mo old twins and 3 year old son. They
slept through the red-eye on the way here (from
California) and then fell into a great european
schedule right away. They nap in their strollers during
the day except for a longer nap in the hotel from 6-8pm
(mostly because of my son). Then we are out for dinner
and drinks until midnight. Lots of great cafes, bars
and restaurants with outdoor seating. Then everyone
sleeps til 10-11am. Tons of fun. Good luck!

HI there! We are just returned from London and Paris
with 10mo twins. Ours didn't sleep a wink on the
red-eye over (though it went well, no crying for 11
hrs!!), and it took about 4 days to adjust to the 8-9hr
time difference. If this happens to you, I would
recommend that if they are wide awake in the middle of
the night, try feeding them. For our kids it seemed
that it was their hunger schedule that was keeping them
awake. So that first night we fed them at 2am and
played in our room for 1 hr, then layed them back down
and they slept until the morning. The next night
(after a full day of meals as opposed to a red-eye with
limited food) we only had to feed one of them (the
other woke, but stayed sleepy so we left her), and the
third night we fed no one and they woke only briefly.
4th night they slept through the night. Naps, however,
were great from day 1, just remember to wake them after
2 hours so they don't mess up their nights. It took
about 4 nights for them to adjust when we came back,
too, except we mostly just played with them instead of
feeding them (since we took a day flight home). Good
 luck!!

I echo the Suzy Giordano recommendation. I read Healthy
Sleep Havits and Hers and found hers easier to follow -
my kids were up to 10 hours straight by 12 weeks - very
simple and straight-forward. Sent from my iPhone
