1. Car for three kids under 3 - Help
--------------------------------------------------------
eeewww - 3/18/2012 10:58 pm

We are looking for a car for three kids under three. We
have a 2 year old and twins coming in the summer. We
were all set to get the highlander, but took it to
citikids and they said we should not put a carseat (the
forward facing toddler) in the third row because of the
position of the seat belt for that seat (too far
forward from the seat).Does anyone have the highlander
with a car seat in the third row? Or what car do you
have with three young kids?We were trying to avoid a
minivan. And in the city, we'd like the exterior
dimensions to not be THAT big.

2. Cosleeper
--------------------------------------------------------
ked21880 - 3/18/2012 8:14 pm

I am pregnant with twins and expecting in August. I am
starting my registry and wanted some advice on the
cosleeper. My friends who have a single baby swear by
them, but I hear mix reviews by those who have twins.
I know there is a 27lb weight limit which means they
will have to be in it for a short amount of time which
is fine. I was just hoping to get some opinions on
them, and if there is another option. Our bedroom is
small so a crib is out of the picture. Has anyone had
any positive experiences with them or are they to
 squishy for twins. Thanks

3. Need a break - how to get one?
--------------------------------------------------------
paigenittler - 3/18/2012 7:22 pm

We have a 3.5-year-old and twin 1.5-year-olds. It
feels like we have been going full throttle for the
past 1.5 years. My husband and I need a break. We
don't have family in town or family willing to come
give us a break. What other options exist for getting
away for a weekend? We need sleep, rest and
 relaxation!

4. Innovative Car Seat - American Inventor
--------------------------------------------------------
sfmama09 - 3/18/2012 4:23 pm

Dear SFPOMs:If you are like me, you had spent a chunk
of time figuring out the whole 'car seat' situation. As
a mom of three, it has gotten a bit complicated for us
trying to fit all three in one vehicle, swapping car
seats between cars, getting second hand seats from
friends, training family and nannies on how to install
seats, etc. and I admit at times the whole 'safety'
aspect of it falls by the wayside. But indeed, lots to
think about when it comes to child safety. How many of
you remember/have seen the first episode of "American
Inventor" reality TV show won by Janusz who invented
the Anecia Safety Capsule seat? The seat is named after
his daughter Anecia who died in a car accident. Janusz
is a Bay Area local guy, and an acquaintance of mine.
He is also a father of twins. Since he won, he has been
'head down' perfecting the invention. Now his seat is
competing in Walmart's Get On The Shelf contest. I urge
you to vote for his seat. Personally I think its about
time for some big changes in the way we design kids car
 seats!Vote at

note from Janusz: "Dear Friends, I urgently ask for
your help. Product which I have been developing, and
which won the coveted American Inventor Award on ABC
television, is competing in Walmart's Get On The Shelf
contest!. The name of this product is "The Capsule
Seat". The Capsule Seat for children is the most
innovative new safety product in the automotive
industry in the last 30 years. Traffic injuries are a
leading cause of death and disability among children in
developed countries. Statistically in the USA, every
day five children are killed in car accidents and 640
are injured. The Capsule Seat is the world's first
shock absorbing child car seat. There has been an
incredible amount of science, engineering, design, and
expertise that has contributed to the safety of this
new device. Using Capsule Seat technology, through the
combination of advanced materials, structural design
and motion, crash forces on the child's head and neck
are reduced dramatically. When an accident happens, the
Capsule Seat re-orients itself to put the passengers in
the safest possible position absorbing energy of the
crush. Extensive two months duration sled tests proved
superiority of the Capsule Seat above any other safety
seats currently existing on the world's market. The
Capsule Seat performs 2 to 3 times better than
government requirements for dynamic crash test. You can
help to save thousands of children from unnecessary
deaths and injuries every year. Vote at

child every day. You can help me do this. Please vote
 every day until April 3.

side by side, i think, like we currently do with the
keyfit 30s. have others done this? are there narrow
enough seats out there to do this? also, do they come
with bases? or did you buy four seats? two for each
