I am considering a spring program for my twin
5-year-olds in a Saturday or Sunday soccer class. We
live in Noe Valley and ideally would like something
close by. I'm open to hearing about any
recommendations you have for classes (even if not near
Noe). My husband and I work full-time so only weekend
options will work for us.The programs I have heard of
thus far are SoccerTots and Soccer Insight. If you
have any good/bad/etc. feedback on either or other
programs to offer, let me know. For SoccerTots, I
wasn't sure if my twins are too old for it even though
they have only taken soccer at their preschool. Anyone
know?Thanks,Virginia

We are looking for a nanny to work on Thursday and
Fridays. We have 4 month-old b/g twins and live in
Bernal Heights. Hours will most likely be 8:30 to 5:30
on those days. There may be a few Wednesday's needed
too. If anyone knows of a part time nanny who is
available please let me know!

4. Vomiting during sleep training

Hi all - hoping someone has gone through this and came
out the other side with some good advice for us!We did
not do any formal sleep training because both of our
twins have always been good sleepers (I know - lucky!).
But a little before their first birthday the boy
starting waking up frequently at night - about every 3
hours. Our pediatrician said he is unable to self sooth
during periods of light sleep so we needed to bite the
bullet and do sleep training (we had been rocking them
to sleep but it only took a few minutes so we didn't
mind.) So we did CIO and the girl took to it right away
- within 3 nights and now she goes down by herself no
problem. But the boy cried for 30 minutes the first
night then vomited all over himself, his crib, the
floor, and into his sister's crib. The next night he
did the same within 5 minutes. We just can't bring
ourselves to try again. So now we still rock him to
sleep and he is still waking up frequently at night at
14 months. Our ped said to just put towels down and
that after vomiting he will eventually fall asleep and
we can simply sneak in and remove the towels. But
really, is that the only option?! I'm wondering if
perhaps it is a developmental stage and we'd be better
off waiting a bit before trying again. But we are
really tired of being exhausted all the time. Any
helpful advice appreciated!
