1. Nanny late due to public transport - what's the protocol?
--------------------------------------------------------
bhavna12 - 2/5/2013 11:57 am
Public transportation was delayed this morning and our
nanny was 30 min late. What's the protocol? Does she
leave 30 later than usual or it doesn't make a
difference? I can understand, it happens. I just don't
want it to happen all the time and then uses public
transport as an excuse. I don't think she would, but I
don't want to tempt her to do that either. We have
guaranteed her a set number of hours each week so her
pay is the same if we let her leave a bit early.
Thoughts?

stays late. But then again she usually offers. Sent

are a
TON of fabric options and choices for the glider and it
can be either upholstered or slip covered. Tent mail me
if you want more info or would like to see pics of
mine. It was definitely money well spent for us, I use
it multiple times a day/night.

We also used Earth's Best. I did a lot of research, and
actually thought that Baby's Only had the best
ingredients, but for a couple of different reasons we
decided to go with Earth's Best. I'd be happy to share
my thoughts if you're interested, but I think it's a
little too much to include here. Message me if you to
chat more about it One other thought: if your kids have
been on Similac, they could get constipated when you
make the switch to another formula. Corn syrup - the
sweetener in most major brands - has a natural laxative
effect, so if your kids are used to that, and you take
it away, they might get backed up.When we first
switched from Similac to Baby's Only the kids got
REALLY constipated. Then we switched back to Similac,
and then made a gradual switch to Earth's Best (mixing
the two formulas for a while) and they were fine.

Breast milk and cow's milk also have more sugar than I
would have thought, and the ingredients in baby formula
can make your hair stand on end. I don't know how much
difference "organic" makes given what goes into it, so
I would focus more on what you baby digests easily. We
had issues with constipation with Similac and some
other brands, but our girls have been on Gerber Protect
for a few months now and seem to be doing great in that
department. (It could just be that their digestive
tracts matured at about the same time we switched, with
babies, who knows??) Good luck--all of this guesswork
can be frustrating, can't wait for the girls to be on
100 real food!

Thanks for all of the great ideas! Should we try and
schedule a time/place to meet up for a walk? I
actually have never taken the babies out in the car to
go walk somewhere myself, but perhaps it's about time I
tried that. I'm definitely a bit nervous though.

Yes! I would be happy to travel to wherever for a
walking meetup! Either GG Park or Crissy Field area (?)

Hi, I love to walk in GG park too. I usually go after
the 10am feeding. My twins are almost 4 months old now.
We should try to arrange to meet up. It would be nice
to chat and walk!

We have 5.5 mo old (adjusted) B/G twins. Right now
both my husband and I are SAH as our professional
obligations are p/t for a while longer. Are there other
dads SAH? My husband would like to know more folks,
specially men, who are at home with their twin
infants. We have some day help, are interviewing for
nannies, but who knows how long this will take...How do
you get reenergized after the babies go to sleep? I
often crash by 8:30 pm.
