Hi!Can anyone recommend a night nanny? We have twin
boys who are six weeks old and need someone 2 to 3
nights a week. Thanks!Don and Brandon Howard-Miller

Kaye Jarrett is great. We've kept her way past the
initial contract term because she was so awesome with
us and the kids. (kaye_jarrett at hotmail.com)

We have an almost 3 year old and 4 month old twins and
are trying to sort out the childcare issue. I would
love advice on a few things. If a nanny is only
watching all three from time to time (say 6-10 pm) do
you increase rate? They are all asleep by 7:30/8. And
what do you do in case of emergencies / backup plan for
all three? I'd love opinions on urban sittter or
wondersitter. We've never used either. Is there any one
that can be called last minute?Thank you!Megan

4. To Tripp Trapp or not to Tripp Trapp?

Wondering what experiences anyone has had with the
Stokke Tripp Trapp high chairs. We're considering
getting them for our twins (with the harness) since
they seem to "grow" with the babies. Do your kids like
them? What issues do you have with them? Would you buy
them again?

we love ours that we used for our almost 3 year old.
The belt/buckle could be a little more comfortable, but
we bought first one used, and a second one new for the
twins. 3 yo used it to climb up into cabinets to get
chocolate however :-)

I'm pasting this from a comment I made on an earlier
post/question about highchairs about a month ago: "We
LOVE the Stokke... now that the kids are almost 3 years
old. We couldn't use them for about 18 months for a
variety of reasons. First, we took them away and found
a different solution because having babies/toddlers at
the dining room table isn't as great as it seems (they
smear food all over, and BANG their utensils, and we
have a very nice antique table that was getting
destroyed. You'd need to purchase the Stokke tray
accessory to avoid this, and I'd already spent enough
on Stokke things at that point!) Then we tried again
and had to take them away again because at 14 months
(or so) they started tipping backwards in them. (I urge
you to youtube "stokke high chair dangerous" for an
example of what I'm talking about. I caught my daughter
just inches before hitting the ground once - so into
the garage they went. And yes, we were using the "fix"
leg extenders the company had made so this wasn't
supposed to happen.) All that said, now we LOVE them,
and we'll have several more years of using them. Also,
I had two friends with Stokke who didn't have the
tipping children problem that I did, so it's a matter
of whether or not your child thinks to put their feet
up and push back during the window of time that their
legs are short enough to do it. Good luck!"

well...I booked the tickets. I unfortunately am flying
United (only direct airline from SFO) but I got two
tickets, and paid the extra for the 5 extra inches of
legroom or whatever, but mostly because I was able to
get seats in the front two rows. My husband is allowed
to help me get through security with a special pass
that I get when checking in. But he can't enter the
plane, so that's when I'm guessing it will get harder.
Diaper changes on my lap?? I will update this thread
when (IF!) I land alive :-)
