Hello. I wanted to let you know about a truly fantastic
auction workshop, taking place on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd at
Woodland Star Charter School inSonoma. As a chair of
the Novato Charter School for the past 7 years, Iknow
how much schools work to raise funds through the school
auctions. Allthe schools hold their own auctions, and
this seminar can help them toincrease their net income.
This workshop was instrumental in increasing thenet
auction income from $45,000 to $145,000 at Novato
Charter School(really!). Each school can encourage
their auction chair(s) to attend. If you have any
connections to auction chairs of your child¹s school,
or anyother organization that puts on an auction, they
should not miss thisworkshop.Here¹s the link:
 http://www.auctionhelp.com/sonoma-workshop.aspxThe
website is www.auctionhelp.com find the Workshop tab
click on Sonoma to access the flier. Scroll downto
the Click here for Registration Form. The cost is $149
for one person, and $99 for anyone else from the
sameorganization. It¹s the least expensive and BEST
workshop! Please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions. You may alsodirect any school and their
auction chairs to me, if they have questions.-- Carole

 ● My name is: Carrie Galves● My phone number is:
415 375-1780● My email address is:
 spring_essentials at yahoo.com● My caregiver's name is:
Maria Rastrom● My caregiver's contact information
 is:doulainduetime.com 415 295-4785● She is Postpartum
 Doula/Parenting Coach/Sleep Trainer● I employed this
 caregiver from April 29th - September 6th● I highly
recommend her: The gift of sleep for parent's and
having the support was amazing. She is absolutely
phenomenal! She very knowledgeable in all aspects of
newborn care.We have an amazing Doula that started from
night one the moment we arrive home. We hire Maria for
the duration of three months. Maria, sleep trained the
babies and have them on a good schedule and routine. My
husband and I are very grateful that we had Maria as
our doula. Maria combines enormous wisdom, experience,
professionalism and a great deal of human kindness in
her work and was a joy to have with us. In addition to
her extraordinary skills as a doula. She is a also
quite skilled in taking care of recuperating mothers
and was very helpful to me. I have been incredibly
fortunate to have Maria to guide me through the support
and all of the practical skills, and most importantly
to give me time to heal and to encourage me every step
of the way.She is incredible.... More specifically, she
is gifted with the ability to take care of our
(preemie) twins, and teach parents the essentials
skills they need to be competent parents. In addition,
Maria is such a pleasure to be with--- always has a
fantastic attitude and completely focused on what is
best for the babies. I was amazed at her composure and
professionalism at all times. We will be forever
grateful for having Maria in our lives. In addition she
was amazing with our 3 1/2 son he was challenging, and
unbearable at times. She help getting him down at
night, and he absolutely adored her. We've discovered
the nights were less helpful, and less stressful---
having the support, and rest which was so desperately
needed. Needless to say, we were so sleep deprived and
exhausted! However, Maria is a total gem help with
laundry, cooking and works nights to accommodate a
 family schedule.Best,Carrie

We have 15 month old twins. Our nanny works 50 hours a
week. The kids still take 2 naps, and she generally
works through the naps on slower paced kid related
stuff (cooking, cleaning, laundry). She takes meals
during their afternoon nap.Keep in mind pain is a sign
of doing things beyond the body limit-- it may be
quantity yet often it is quality. Ergonomic stuff like
bending knees and lifting with legs instead of back,
how one stands by the crib to put in or take out a
child etc, has a huge impact.

hi, #2/3. i had all of my prenatal care and genetic
testing at UCSF; i worked there for years before
becoming a SAHM after having my girls.i was told two
support people 'might' be allowed for a vaginal birth
at UCSF; was also told from colleagues/moms/etc. that
in reality more than one is never actually allowed in
the OR... so...for me having two people - my husband
and my doula - with me in the OR was a priority.
thereforee, i preregistered at both UCSF and CPMC's St.
 Luke's campus for birth

Luke's routinely allows (or allowed in 2011, you'd have
to confirm current policy) two people in the OR for
twin births - one for each baby. after getting past
the 36/37/38/39 week mark (lowered risk for need of
NICU), i opted to go to St. Luke's with Dr. Laura
Norrell, and try for a vaginal birth. i'd heard a lot
of great things about her. i found them all to be
true. she's director of the program, specializes in
low-intervention twin births, and trained at UCSF.if
that's of interest to you... i can answer any
questions. should say i had PPO insurance, so had a lot
of flexibility with prenatal, intranatal and postnatal
 care...in case that's a concern.best, jen

Congrats on your upcoming twins!I had vaginal delivery
of twins at UCSF in 2012. Cannot speak highly enough
about the care I received. I was told only one person
at OR and did not matter whether it was C or V
delivery. In my case our doula and my husband were
with me in OR. So the UCSF team can make exceptions, I
do not know how often and under what auspices they make
them.As Jen indicated, having two people works for
twins--my husband was with the first baby in NICU while
doula remained with me until second baby was out, 2
hours later.I can't tell you about bracelets-- I have
NO recollection of them having one, or me, but I know
per procedure that they are done.Alessandra

US citizen and SS # available Testimonials To Whom It
May Concern: This letter is my personal recommendation
for Ana . Ana served as our Night Nanny (Doula) for 3
mos working a consistent schedule Sunday through
 Thursday from 10pm-6am, a total of 40 hours/week. She
successfully sleep-trained our 6-week old Twins to
sleep 5-6 hour intervals providing a much better
balance in our family's personal and professional
schedule. I have the utmost confidence to advocate Ana
for employment specifically for newborns. Considering
her core focus is to care for multiples and preemies, I
trust she is beyond capable in that capacity. Though
her main objective was to care for our son during the
night, Ana was also extraordinarily helpful in
assisting with household chores (i.e. laundry,
dishwashing, etc.). Every morning Ana greeted me and my
husband with a smile as well as a very detailed list of
our son's evening activities including the exact time
of feedings from start to finish, exact amount of food
intake, his bathroom specifics, and any other details
such as hiccups, gas, fussiness, cooing, smiling, etc.
I found her to be reliable, responsible, patient,
pleasant, dedicated, and very personable. She is a
wonderful woman, incredibly sweet, and very
knowledgeable. She always impressed me with newborn
care recommendations as well as discussing her ongoing
continuing education. Our family feels truly blessed to
have had this experience with Ana. The love and genuine
care she had for our son was unparalleled. Sincerely,
