Camp Mather Update

As of Thursday, September 5, the Rim Fire has burned approximately 239,000 acres
 but is now 80% contained.
Another huge thank you is owed to everyone who has helped battle the blaze and keep
our beloved Camp Mather safe. This week, we have been preparing the campgrounds
as a basecamp for recovery operations that will begin this Sunday. We anticipate
reopening Camp Mather next summer for its 90th year. The fire was a very close
call but it has allowed all of us to reflect on the good times spent at Mather and
recommit to its importance.
