Department of Elections invites you to “Go Green” and stop receiving a paper Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot.
Dear Voter,

You can “go green” and stop receiving a paper version of your Voter
Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot in the mail and access it
online at <http://www.sfgov2.org/index.aspx?page=599>
sfelections.org.

The Voter Information Pamphlet for the November 5, 2013 Municipal
Election will be over 100 pages. Choosing to “opt out” of the paper
Voter Information Pamphlet saves both natural resources and printing
and mailing costs.

To stop mail delivery of your Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample
Ballot for the November 5, 2013 election and all future elections,
complete the online <https://secure.sfelections.org/tools/vip_mail/>
Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot Opt Out/Opt In form no
later than September 16, 2013. Requests received after September 16
will take effect for the following election.

When you opt out of paper, you will receive an email approximately 40
days before each election with a link to view the Voter Information
Pamphlet on <http://www.sfgov2.org/index.aspx?page=599>
sfelections.org. The online version contains all of the information in
the paper version.

If you sign up to “go green” and then decide that you prefer to
receive a paper version of the Voter Information and Sample Ballot,
you can revert to the paper version at any time by using the online
form.
