 Hi there,Could you please advise me on the best brands
 for play pens, pressure mounted gates not to screw in,
 and kitchen cabinets/drawers baby proof products - also
 not to screw in?I appreciate any advise,Raneem

 I didn't have a birth doula, but we used night doulas
 from when our twins were two weeks to just under three
 months old - they came twice a week and it was the best
 money we ever spent. We had several doulas since we
 sort of had to piece together help since we started the
 process late - it was nice to have the ones with twins
 experience, but they were all fine.One important thing
 is to find out their attitudes towards breastfeeding.
 If you decide to BF and it works out for you, you'll
 want someone who will wake you up to nurse or pump,
 etc. But if breastfeeding doesn't work out for you for
 whatever reason, you'll want someone supportive. When I
 threw in the towel, one doula kept bringing it up even
 though I was clear that I was done, and even kept
 inviting me to her La Leche League meetings. Grrr. Oh,
 and ask what they do when the babies are asleep - there
 were some interesting answers to that question. One
 candidate answered "watch TV" (when the babies would be
 in the same room with her) and we knew she wouldn't be
 a good fit. Most will use the time to wash bottles,
 fold baby clothing - one even cooked breakfast for
 us!Good luck!
