Hi there,I am 27.3 weeks pregnant with didi twins,
measuring 32 weeks. Just came to CPMC for a regular
ultrasound and was sent to the emergency room then
admitted for 48 hours. Steroids was given to mature
the babies' lungs and other medication to reduce
contraction. Will be on bed rest from this moment on. I
did not expect this at all! Since I was working full
time, doing yoga everyday and hiking every week. All
my other tests result have been great! But the babies
weight and gravity just put too much pressure on my
body. So what I am saying is"you never know what is
going to happen with twin gestation after 6 months of
pregnancy". My advice is just relax and enjoy your
mobility, freedom, autonomy and comfort at home when
you can and adapt to whatever situation is coming along
the way. It is no easy task! I have cried twice
already since I got admitted to the hospital, grieving
the loss of my freedom (even to move a little bit in
the two hours period when they are tracking babies
heart rate and my heart rate and my contraction), time
to walk with my hubby post dinner, being in nature,
doing yoga, cookin g my own food, not having to wait
for others to pass me something....The good news is the
medical team here is very good at managing situations
like preterm labor. They monitor you, give you shots,
meds, and if you are cooperative and follow
instructions, the babies can stay in till all the way
when are full term. If you are at CPMC, the NICU is
close to Prenatal diagnosis and OB. Everything will be
 under control.
