- at her request we started with letters; she read from a book of letter
foods.  O.o She appears to know the names of basically all the letters. She
did all the letters in artichoke, for example
- still not much interested in sounding then out
- worked on some issues with B vs P; she has real trouble there
- when she can't remember a letter's name but it appears in her name, she
says the letters of her name under her breath to figure out the letter's
name
-then painting; she did a painting of suns and tomatoes, and then at her
suggestion we did shapes that she painted
- she found a wooden bunny with markers and drew on that
- we did facial expressions for a bit
- we played with the wooden letters; I think these are more valuable than
I'd given them credit for because it gives practice seeing letters in
shapes even when rotated or backwards, which is a bit of a big deal since
several English letters are rotations of each other
- she decided that words with three letters were "out" and they went into a
different pile than the four letters words
