Last Chance to Experience ZooLights!
Our popular annual holiday event, ZooLights, runs through Saturday, December 30 from 5:00-8:00 pm. Come see the bright lights strung throughout the Zoo, listen to seasonal music, visit reindeer, play in snow flurries, and ride the Dentzel Carousel. From 12/26-12/20, the Giraffe Barn will be open for visitors to see our magnificent herd. Don't forget, SF Zoo Members and Guardians receive complimentary admission as a BENEFIT of their membership! Celebrate New Year's Day At the Zoo
SF Zoo is open every day for the community to enjoy our 100-acre park, living classroom and Zoo! Burn off energy at the Elinor Friend Playground, learn about our new black bear cubs at the 11:30 Keeper Talk and and take a ride on the Little Puffer Steam Train. Of course, Members are free year-round!

See The Reindeer Before They are Gone!

Help Us Provide the Best Care for Our Animals
Here at the San Francisco Zoological Society, as we think of sharing special meals and gifts with family and friends during the holidays, we want to do the same for the nearly 2,000 animals that call the Zoo home. Some of our greatest needs occur behind the scenes. For instance, our Nutrition Center, which supplies all of the animals’ healthy food, is in need of new refrigeration and freezer equipment.We know that many of you want to help provide the best care for our animals, and we are truly grateful for your support!

Start The New Year By Becoming a Docent
If you're looking for something meaningful to do with your extra time, consider becoming a docent. Attend the Docent Program Informational Event (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=0310d7bad6&e=7683a9aed3) on Sunday, January 21 from 10:00-12:00 at the Lurie Education Center at SF Zoo. Anyone interested should have a love for animals and the ability to share information with others. We'll teach you everything else! Specially designed for children 18 months – 4 years, little ones are encouraged to get loud like lions, leap like lemurs, and frolick like red pandas.
