Christmas - and New Year's Day - at the Zoo!
SF Zoo is open every day for the community to enjoy our 100-acre park, living classroom and Zoo! Visit our reindeer before they head back to the North Pole, watch grizzly bears forage for food at the 10:30 AM feeding, and burn off energy at the Elinor Friend Playground. Of course, Members are free year-round!

Here at the San Francisco Zoological Society, as we think of sharing special meals and gifts with family and friends during the holidays, we want to do the same for the nearly 2,000 animals that call the Zoo home. Some of our greatest needs occur behind the scenes. For instance, our Nutrition Center, which supplies all of the animals’ healthy food, is in need of new refrigeration and freezer equipment. Early Childhood Classes
Welcome winter with your toddler in Early Childhood class!  Specially designed for children 18 months – 4 years, little ones are encouraged to get loud like lions, leap like lemurs, and frolick like red pandas. Adult Illustration Class

We’ll cover a few art basics, draw real live animals and create a finished illustration of your favorite animal to take home. Winter Zoo Camp
There are spots still available December 26-30 for the "coolest" day camp in town - Winter Zoo Camp!
