SF Deltas Opening Night on March 25 at Kezar Stadium
Drop by Kezar Stadium (670 Kezar Drive) on Saturday, March 25 at 7 p.m. to see San
Francisco's newest sports team. The SF Deltas are a professional soccer team in 
the North American Soccer League whose home field will be at the historic Kezar

Helen Diller Playgrounds Coming to Civic Center
Mayor Edwin M. Lee, the Helen Diller Family Foundation, The Trust for Public Land,
Supervisor Jane Kim, the Recreation and Park Commission, and the Civic Center community
came out for the ground breaking for the new Helen Diller Playgrounds at Civic Center
on February 14. The Foundation recently gifted $10 million to the city to complete
the two new playgrounds, which will serve as a catalyst for a renewed focus on improving

Fruits and Veggies Coming to Geneva Community Garden
District 11 neighbors gathered together for a ground breaking event for the new 
Geneva Community Garden on February 9. Funded by the 2008 Clean & Safe Neighborhood
Parks Bond, California Department of Housing and Community Development, and the 
City's General and Open Space funds, the new community garden will be one of 39 
such gardens in the city.

Greenagers Now Accepting Applications for 2017-2018
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and the Port of San Francisco's
 Greenagers program, a youth leadership program offering teens a chance to play 
an important role in their community. Teens perform beautification work at parks
 throughout the city, participate in leadership workshops and choose projects based
on their interests.

The Addams Family Performance, February 16-18

Butterflies & Blooms at the Conservatory of Flowers Now Open
Get eye to eye with a butterfly in the exhibit Butterflies & Blooms, coming to the
Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park this fall. The popular exhibit returns
by overwhelming demand to San Francisco's beloved Victorian greenhouse, transforming
its Special Exhibit gallery into a beautiful and intimate cottage garden aflutter
with hundreds of butterflies on the wing including magnificent monarchs, western
 swallowtails, painted ladies and more. Walk among a wide variety of brightly colored
blossoms like zinnias and daisies while free-flying butterflies flit from flower
 to flower, drinking nectar and getting covered in pollen.
The exhibit will be featured through June 30, 2017. And anyone can become a member
of the Butterfly Patrol for just a $20 donation to learn how to release a newly 
emerged butterfly into the exhibit. Patrol members receive complimentary people-sized
antennae and a special badge to take home.
