Thanksgiving Weekend Fun

Get that burn in before you shimmy up to the table! San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is open every day of the year at 10:00 am with nearly 100 acres to discover. Don't miss the new 11:30 am  Black Bear Keeper Talk and 3:00 pm Sloth Keeper Talk and take a ride (or two) on the Little Puffer miniature steam train! Get outside with your family this weekend and enjoy everything your Zoo offers.  We are open on Thanksgiving Day and everyday.

Reindeer Are Here Through January 1!
Yes, they are real! Your favorite reindeer (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=b7de059738&e=7683a9aed3) , "Belle", "Holly" and "Peppermint" are here to spread holiday cheer at San Francisco Zoo & Gardens! Majestic reindeer are romping at SF Zoo's Playfield Lawn, near the spectacular Elinor Friend Playground. Come and learn about how these amazing animals are adapted to life in cold climates and find out what the clicking noise is when they walk. Celebrate the holiday season by visiting the animals that help Santa with all his special deliveries!

Giving Tuesday is Next Week!
As a non-profit, the SF Zoological Society is grateful to the support of its members and donors. During this season of thanks, we are thankful that we are now home to two rescued adorable orphaned black bears cubs. They were discovered abandoned in Alaska this spring, and are now thriving and healthy at the SF Zoo. Flamingo Chicks!

Have you had a chance to see our adorable flamingo chicks? All three hatched in October and have already doubled in size! You can find these cuties right across the Lemur Cafe, so stop by for a cup of hot cocoa on your way to see them. Come by SF Zoo and see if you can spot the fast-growing chicks!
