Reindeer Are Here Through January 1!
Yes, they are real! Your favorite reindeer (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=ac5fa5a6d8&e=7683a9aed3) , "Belle", "Holly" and "Peppermint" are here to spread holiday cheer at San Francisco Zoo & Gardens! Majestic reindeer are romping at SF Zoo's Playfield Lawn, near the spectacular Elinor Friend Playground. Come and learn about how these amazing animals are adapted to life in cold climates and find out what the clicking noise is when they walk. Celebrate the holiday season by visiting the animals that help Santa with all his special deliveries!

Science Sunday Conservation Lecture

Tesla Donates New Charging Stations
We are pleased to announce that we have new Electric Vehicle charging stations in the public parking lot thanks to a generous donation from Tesla. You’ll find three Tesla-only towers and two universal charging towers - they are FREE to use. Each tower has two plugs and can charge two vehicles simultaneously.  Our Electric Vehicle dedicated parking spots are first come, first serve basis for our guests.

Become a Zoo Docent!
Looking for something meaningful to do with your extra time? Be a Zoo Docent. If you love animals, enjoy sharing information with others and think it is important to conserve wildlife, this activity is for you. Come to the Zoo’s special event on January 21, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and find out what being a docent is all about. Senior Stroll
Seniors, ages 65 and older, are welcome to attend SF Zoo's quarterly Senior Stroll, Thursday, 12/14 at 9 am. Enjoy a guided walking tour and watch the animals that are active early in the day, especially in the Family Farm. Bring your best questions for a knowledgeable docent, who can provide answers as well as fascinating insights into animal behavior.
