EXPERIENCE VIRTUAL REALITY
TECHNOLOGY THIS SATURDAY!
Join Conservation International's Alice Ruhweza on June 2 as she presents "Silent No More: How Women & Girls Will Speak for Planet Earth."  In addition, we are offering a unique opportunity to experience Virtual Reality technology and watch one of three conservation themed videos created by Conservation International. Each video is approximately 10 minutes long and focuses on Amazonian, African, or underwater wildlife and conservationists. Please join us at 1 pm in the Osher Great Hall of the Lurie Education Center. RARE NEW ZEALAND CHRISTMAS TREE

With our year-round mild climate, we can grow a wide variety of plants from all over the world including this spectacular New Zealand Christmas Tree (Metrosideros excelsa.)  Most New Zealand Christmas trees, a coastal evergreen tree, have red flowers, but our tree here is a rare find with it's yellow flowers. Be sure to visit often as the tree will achieve full-bloom over the coming weeks! You can find this beauty next to Gauhati, our greater one-horned rhino.

SWEDISH FISH AT SF ZOO!
Join Swedish Fish this Saturday as they share this fun fish-shaped gummy candy with our guests from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm near Penguin Island. Swedish Fish is also the official candy of Shark Week.
