Year of the Dog Celebration
Were you born in the Year of the Dog (1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018)? If your answer is YES, then we have a special birthday gift for you: your one-day Zoo admission is FREE during the month of March! Enjoy our 100-acre park, conservation center, living classroom and Zoo for one day in March on us! Be sure to see our Mexican gray wolves – “prince”, “bowie” and “garcia” – in their world-class exhibit or spend time with our Black-tailed prairie “dogs” in our Youth Exploration Zone.  We do ask that you provide valid ID as proof of eligibility (as well as be courteous to other canines!).  Happy Birthday!

Teen Volunteer Orientations This Weekend!
Interested in animals, science, or working with children? Want to spend your summer at the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens? Join us for a free teen volunteer orientation (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=d8ec38c6ea&e=7683a9aed3) to learn how! Orientations for our popular Nature Trail program, for teens 12-14 years old, will be held on March 3 at 10:00am. Orientations for our Talk on the Wild Side and Zoo Teacher Assistant programs, for teens 14-17 years old, will be held March 3 at 1pm.

Big Daddy Bahasa's New Digs!
With much thanks to the Lipman Family as well as other SFZS Board members, we are excited to announce that construction has been completed at the new Komodo Crossing exhibit! This space is a luxurious upgrade for “Big Daddy Bahasa”, complete with an indoor and outdoor pool, a heated rock, a skylight, night quarters, a shower, and an indoor keeper kitchen and preparation area, totaling 2,950 square feet. Stop by for a sneak peek to see “Big Daddy” explore his new space and relax by his pool!

Summer Zoo Camp Registration: Now Open!
Summer Zoo Camp is the perfect place for your animal-loving child.  Campers entering Pre-K (must be 4 years old) to 5^th grade can enjoy up to three weeks of Zoo Camp fun and learning.  We also offer Conservation Camp for 6^th and 7^th graders and Wellness 101 Camp is open to campers ages 12-17.  You can find our brochure and more information about camp online. ** Senior Stroll

Seniors, ages 65 and older, are welcome to attend SF Zoo's quarterly Senior Stroll, Thursday, March 8 at 9 am. Enjoy a guided walking tour and watch the animals that are active early in the day, especially in the Family Farm. Bring your best questions for a knowledgeable docent, who can provide answers as well as fascinating insights into animal behavior. Free for current San Francisco Zoo & Gardens Members – all others $5.
