Celebrate Pi Day With 'Roo Pie!
We’re honoring the “irrational number”  by highlighting the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) educational programs offered at the Zoo.  Summer Zoo Camp utilizes STEM and registration is now open (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=4eefe500cd&e=7683a9aed3) . The San Francisco Zoo is proud to both be strong supporters of lifelong learning and education for all students. To celebrate, every 314th visitor tomorrow is free!

Celebrate All Things Green!
San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is the “greenest” place in the Bay Area to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! We have 100 acres of green space, dozens of green animals, and a vast portfolio of environmentally conscious programs.  Make sure to stop by the South American Tropical Rainforest and Aviary for our the densest population of green animals, like the plumed basilisk and green anaconda!

Egg Hunt Registration Opens Friday!
We are gearing up for our annual Easter tradition, Big Bunny’s Spring Fling (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=533c41a09b&e=7683a9aed3) !
March 31, San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is the place to be for a hoppin’ good time! We’ve partnered with 106 KMEL’s Sana G Morning Show for the third year in a row to host four egg hunts with thousands of candy-filled eggs! Registration begins Friday, March 16! Music, activities, Easter bunny sightings and so much more are just around the corner at Big Bunny’s Spring Fling!

Year of the Dog Celebration
Were you born in the Year of the Dog (1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018)? If your answer is YES, then we have a special birthday gift for you: your one-day Zoo admission is FREE during the month of March! Enjoy our 100-acre park, conservation center, living classroom and Zoo for one day in March on us! Be sure to see our Mexican gray wolves – “prince”, “bowie” and “garcia” – in their world-class exhibit or spend time with our Black-tailed prairie “dogs” in our Youth Exploration Zone.  We do ask that you provide valid ID as proof of eligibility (as well as be courteous to other canines!).  Happy Birthday!

Jungle Jog at SF Zoo on May 6!
Gather your pack or pride to walk/run the Jungle Jog at the San Francisco Zoo. Take a walk on the wild side at this family-friendly event and enjoy a 5K course that takes you through the "jungle" which is home to over 2,000 endangered and rescued animals representing more than 250 species and lovely peaceful gardens full of native and foreign plants. Race entry fees include admission to the Zoo so you are free to enjoy and explore for the rest of the day at your leisure.
