Hi Parents,


My name is Donna Calia.  I'm the Volunteer Coordinator for Woodside Vaulters and the Woodside Fest coming up in a couple of weeks.  My apologies for sending this email to you so late.  Your kids were just added to my list of competitive vaulters for Woodside Vaulters club -- so there is no way for me to ease you in-- Sorry! 


However, it is my understanding that Flavia filled you in a bit about Woodside Fest and how we rely on parent volunteers in order to put on this event.  Below is an email that I recently sent out that describes, in brief, the logistics for the competition.  I think it's useful for all newcomers who don't, as of yet, know what to expect. Later on this week I will send out the official signup sheet where folks can commit to the job(s) they would like to take on that weekend.


There are a few jobs, in particular, that I would like to bring to your attention -- ringside computer inputers, clerks, and music assistants -- these positions are generally harder to fill but are vitally important.  Clerks sit next to judges and record judge comments/scores in real time.  Computer inputers sit next to clerks and record scores on the computer after each "go".  Music assistants sit ringside and are there to help the music manager throughout the shift.  While these jobs come with a fair bit of responsibility, they are a great way to view the competitions and are a great opportunity to see what the judges see.  If you might be interested in taking on one of these jobs, please feel free to contact me at any time.
