Interested in animals, science, or working with children? Want to spend your summer at the San Francisco Zoo? Join us for a free teen volunteer orientation (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=f865860d7f&e=7683a9aed3) to learn how! The final orientation for our popular Nature Trail program, for teens 12-14 years old, will be held on March 2 at 10 am. Orientations for our Talk on the Wild Side and Zoo Teacher Assistant programs, for teens 14-17 years old, will be held on the same day at 1 pm.
Giraffe Enrichment: Mirror, mirror on the wall

Thanks to SFZS Docents and their generous support of animal enrichment programs, our giraffe herd has a new mirror! As you can imagine, this isn’t an ordinary mirror. The mirror is to be shared by the whole herd, but only if we can get it away from our handsome male, Floyd. He does seem to think he is the fairest of them all and has certainly been enjoying the chance to look at himself throughout the day. Be sure to keep an eye out for when the girls get a turn to check out their reflections!

We want your SF Zoo memories for a SF Zoo Life display that will be part of an overall 90th Anniversary exhibit and for use as #TBT (Throw Back Thursday) social media posts. Video and digital photos can be emailed to marketing at sfzoo.org (mailto:marketing at sfzoo.org) , posted on social media with the hashtag, #SFZoo90. Additionally, photographs can be mailed to, San Francisco Zoo 90th Anniversary, 1 Zoo Road, San Francisco, CA 94132. Submissions should come with a brief description, including the year the photo was taken. Please note that the Zoo may not be able to send back the original, so a copy would be best.
