Disney’s The Lion King: Protect the Pride Weekend

The master storytellers at Disney breathe new life into one of their most beloved tales with this modern, visually dazzling spin on The Lion King.  We are proud to partner with Disney and the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund (LRF) to raise awareness and support for lion conservation.  Join us on July 20-21 from 11 a.m. -3 p.m. for giveaways, crafts, Animal Care Talks, and more!
Name a Penguin Chick!

One of the Zoo’s most popular annual events is almost here! March of the Penguins (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=bd982e6b91&e=7683a9aed3) takes place on Saturday, July 27 at 10 a.m. In the past, attending guests had the opportunity to name one of the chicks, but this year, with five new chicks set to march to their Penguin Island home, we’re offering a chance for guests to submit their favorite name any day prior to the July 27 event! From now until July 26, come to the 3:30 p.m. penguin feeding to submit a penguin name, with a suggested $5 donation to support penguin conservation. You will be helping to protect wild penguins and entered into a drawing to name one of our adorable penguin chicks!  We’ll announce the winning names each week leading to March of the Penguins.

* We will name a female penguin chick July 27. Members receive one free ticket per family with additional tickets available for a suggested donation of $5 on the day of the event.

Last Weekend of the Rainforest Zipline!

What could be more fun than to be 30-feet high, zipping through the Zoo?! Take a trip on our zip line, feel the wind on your face and enjoy the live music and BBQ at The Depot as you glide past! The Rainforest Zipline is here for a limited time during July. Nominal fee required.
