During the month of October, come explore our "Harvest Hallow," the City’s largest hay maze open every day (and free for Zoo members!). On weekends, enjoy our "Zoo Brew Haus" with a full slate of German-inspired dishes, international brews, and live music for all ages! The Zoo’s other cafes will feature fare from all over the world!

To celebrate SF Fleet Week, we are thrilled to welcome Navy Band Southwest’s 32nd Street Brass Band, a New Orleans-style brass ensemble, for a performance on October 10th at 11:30 a.m.

And baby makes 8! We are thrilled to announce the birth of our 8th François langur born on September 8th, no less!  Visit him at his energetic exhibit or when you renew at our Membership Office and then cast your vote for your favorite name! The Woman Who Loves Giraffes at The Roxie

Think ‘the Jane Goodall of giraffes’ and you’d get Canadian zoologist and feminist trailblazer Dr. Anne Innis Dagg, whose unprecedented work is featured in the documentary The Woman Who Loves Giraffes. We are happy to co-present this film with The Roxie Theater in San Francisco for limited showings (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=9dbd2f4670&e=7683a9aed3) beginning this week.  Our very own Amy Phelps, Curator of Children’s Zoo, is featured in the film and will be at the October 6 showing for a Q&A.

Interested in connecting with live programming from the depths of Greater Farallones and Cordell Bank national marine sanctuaries? We will be hosting a unique program that will connect you live to the ship EV/Nautilus as they explore the depths off our coast for the first time. Shipboard broadcast capabilities aboard the research vessel will enable you to engage in a unique live dialogue with National Marine Sanctuary and Ocean Exploration Trust scientists and on-board team members that will be supported with visually-rich content and programming. Disney On Ice Ticket Giveaway!

Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment is coming to Oracle Arena and SAP Center this October and we are giving away free tickets.  The first 30 kids that wear Disney attire on 10/5,10/6, 10/11 & 10/12 will receive a voucher for a free ticket that must be redeemed at the Box Office.
